A Self-imposed Photo Challenge

Photography can be many things to different people.  For some it may be a creative outlet or a serious hobby, while for others it may be their professional career where they make their living.  Wherever you fall with regards to why you may do photography, I think most people want their images to be accepted, praised, liked, maybe even thought provoking or even controversial.  I do find that it can be difficult at times to continually produce a continuous stream of top notch super high quality photos.  Occasionally, boredom or a lack of inspiration will suck the life out of our creativity causing the quality and/or quantity of one's photographic output to suffer.  When this happens to me, I feel the need to throw a challenge at myself to help stoke the fires of my creative juices.  I found myself in just such a rut recently so I dared myself to photograph a boring everyday object and capture it in a new and dynamic way that would bring it to life.  My self-imposed photo challenge proved to be difficult at first but it wasn't long before I came up with some really cool shots!  Scroll down to see images from my "boring everyday item" photo shoot.
